My vehicle did not pass what do I do now?
You have several options: Maryland law allows 30 days or 1,000 miles to complete the repairs, if you complete the repairs in the specified time frame you will be issued a certificate of compliance. If you do not complete the repairs in the specified time frame you will need to have a complete new inspection performed.
Is window tint allowed in Maryland?
Yes, but under the following conditions: On trucks & vans, the rear windows may be as dark as you like. Front passenger & drivers windows on trucks and vans and all glass on passenger vehicles (except windshield) are permitted to have window tint as long as it allows at least 35% light transmittance.
In order for tint to be approved by the inspection facility, you must have your vehicle tint certified by the Maryland State Police Automotive Safety Enforcement Division (ASED) 410- 768-7388.
Once the tint has been certified by ASED you will be issued window tint decals and a letter of Window Tint Certification which must be returned to the original inspection station. The authorized Maryland Inspection station may than issue your final Certificate of Vehicle Inspection.
